Lake Nakuru Lodge is situated on the western limits of Africa’s great Rift Valley, offering breathtaking views of Lake Nakuru and its surrounding National Park. Perched on a range of hills, the lodge provides a spectacular vantage point to marvel at the vastness of the lake. The park itself boasts a rich ecological diversity, with flamingos and various water birds being prominent attractions. The area supports around 56 different mammal species, including the iconic white and black rhinos, buffaloes, and more.
Conveniently located, the lodge is just 20km from the park’s main gate and a short 15-minute drive from Naishi airstrip. This strategic positioning enhances accessibility for guests eager to explore the wonders of Lake Nakuru and its diverse wildlife.
Lake Nakuru Lodge offers accommodation in 60 rooms, catering to various preferences. The room options include single, twin, or triple rooms, with two inter-connecting rooms and two rooms designed for wheelchair accessibility. Each room provides a clear and picturesque view of the lake, allowing guests to witness the stunning sunrise from their balcony.
The rooms are equipped with essential amenities to ensure a comfortable stay, such as a safe box, tea and coffee making facilities, and optional stocked minibars. Telephone extensions are provided in all rooms, facilitating communication. Set amidst one hundred and fifty acres of grassland adorned with Acacia bushes and trees, the lodge creates a serene environment. The expansive lawns attract resident giraffes, waterbucks, Vervet, and Colobus monkeys, creating a unique and enchanting atmosphere for guests to enjoy. Additionally, the lodge becomes a nightly stop for hippos, which venture out of the lake to trim the grass on the lush lawns.
The charming cottages are designed in a crescent shape. The layout includes 4 rooms in each cottage, with 2 situated on the ground floor and 2 on the upper level. Notably, 2 of these rooms are thoughtfully designed to accommodate the physically challenged, ensuring accessibility for all guests. Additionally, 6 out of the 21 cottages feature inter-connecting rooms on the ground floor, providing a convenient and flexible option for those traveling with family or friends.
